Dal Rasam Recipe

Ingredients 

Dal -1 cup

Kai Ruchi Rasam Powder - 2 or 3 teaspoons

Tamarind - Small lemon size

Tomato - 1 to 2

Salt - According to taste

For Seasoning:

Oil - 1 teaspoon

Mustard seeds

Hing/Asafoetida

Jeera

Curry Leaves 

Coriander

Procedure

Cook the dal in the pressure cooker. 

Soak tamarind in water for 10 minutes.

In a thick bottomed vessel , add salt , Kai Ruchi Rasam Powder, tamarind juice , curry leaves, coriander and bring to boil.

When it begins to boil, add  mashed dal & tomato to it and boil with desired quantity of water.

Seasoning:

Season the Rasam with 1 spoon of oil , along with mustard, jeera, hing. Boil for some more time.

Serve piping hot Rasam with plain rice or as a drink.  

 

Sambar Recipe

Ingredients 

Dal -1 cup

Vegetables of your choice 

Kai Ruchi Sambar Powder - 2 or 3 teaspoons

Tamarind - Small lemon size

Salt - According to taste

For Seasoning:

Oil - 1 teaspoon

Mustard seeds

Hing/Asafoetida

Jeera

Curry Leaves

Procedure

Cook the dal along with the vegetables like beans/carrot etc., in the pressure cooker or cook/saute vegetables later. 

Soak tamarind in water for 10 minutes.

In a thick bottomed vessel , add salt , Kai Ruchi Sambar Powder, tamarind juice , curry leaves and bring to boil.

When it begins to boil, add dal & vegetables to it and boil with desired quantity of water.

Seasoning:

Season the Sambar with 1 spoon of oil , along with mustard, jeera, hing. Boil for some more time.

Serve piping hot Sambar with plain rice / idli/dosa. 

 

Peanut Chutney Pudi

Molagai Podi Idli

Ingredients
Small idlis– 15 nos ( 1 small idli plate)
Kai Ruchi Idli-molagai podi- 1 tablespoon
Oil – 1 teaspoon

Method
Toss all three in a bowl till the idlis are evenly coated.
Remove to a plate.
 
Easy and delicious molagai podi idli is ready to eat!
 
Molagai Podi can also be  eaten along with plain rice with ghee or oil and curd rice. It can also be eaten directly with chapathis, parathas , dosa , idli with a little amount of ghee/oil/water or dry.
 
 
 
 

Bisibele Bhath Recipe:

 
Ingredients
  • Rice -1 cup
  • Dal – 1 cup
  • Vegetables of your choice (Carrot, Beans, Peas etc.)
  • Tomato – 1
  • Onion – 1
  • Kai Ruchi Biei Bele Bhath Powder – 2 -3 teaspoons
  • Small lemon sized tamarind soaked
  • Jaggery
  • Salt according to taste
  • Oil – 3 teaspoons
  • Ghee
  • Mustard seeds
  • Jeera
  • Curry Leaves
 
Procedure : 
 
·        Cook the rice, dal & vegetables in 5 cups of water in a pressure cooker.
·        Grind tomato,  onion, 2-3 teaspoons of Kai Ruchi Bisibele bhath powder, tamarind, jaggery(optional)   & salt according to taste along with water.
·        In a pan (Kadai), heat 3 teaspoons of oil along with little ghee.
·        To it add mustard seeds, jeera, curry leaves, hing (optional).
·        Add the grinded tomato-onion mixture to it and boil for a while.  
·        Add the rice – dal vegetable mixture to the above and boil, Add water for desired consistency, stir at  frequent intervals.
·        Garnish with coriander & serve with a dollop of ghee and raita / potato chips/Appalam. 
 
 
Filter coffee 
 
Steps to prepare filter coffee:
 
Ingredients:

For the decotion:

Kai Ruchi Coffee Powder - 3 tsp (Depending on size of coffee filter)
Water - 1 cup
 
For the coffee:
Decotion - 1/4 cup(adjust according to the strongness of coffee you want)
Milk - 1 cup
Sugar - 1 tsp
 
1. Add 3 full teaspoons of coffee powder in the upper part/jar.
2. Press gently with the handle.
3. Heat required water to fill the filter and let it start to boil. Add it to the filter and fill fully and close immediately with the lid. 
4. Wait for  1/2 hour.
5. Boil milk and add sugar in a cup.
6. Add required amount of coffee decoction and mix well. Drink hot.
